Sun Zhigang, Party secretary of Guizhou provincial committee made a speech at the second session of the 12th Guizhou Provincial Committee of the Chinese Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), which expresses the province's firm determination for better development in 2019.
In 2019, Guizhou will continue to work hard on its poverty alleviation program by helping more than 1.4 million people out of poverty and reducing the poverty-stricken rate to below five percent.
Sun praised the steps taken in 2018 and pledged that happiness and stability will be improved steadily for Guizhou residents and that the province will continue to strive forward 2019 for complete success in 2020. Guizhou will also take several initiatives to expand the market for Guizhou-made products.
Sun urged that the province will consistently stick to the goals will never stop until it achieves its development goals. He also encouraged the fight against poverty, unhealthy practices, and troublesome trends.
In his speech, Sun called for consensus to move forward to achieve development goals in 2019.
